"Dark Age of the Law" MatchEdit

MatchupEdit

ResultsEdit

In what can only be called an instant classic, Flint and Phoenix face off in the opening match. Both men truly give it their all, the match seeming to go back and forth between them as they struggle to try and gain control. For minutes the men battle, each one not giving an inch, as they go back and forth, shaking the ring with their might. Phoenix moves out of the ring, and strips Table-san, before throwing Flint to the nearby stairs, and uses a swinging neckbreaker to slam Flint's back onto them. After that Flint seems eager to take the fight back to the ring, tossing Phoenix back inside time and again. Once inside however, Phoenix knocks flint down, and jumps from the ropes, landing upon him, and causing some damage. Phoenix starts to try and increase his control, but Flint reverses one of his attack, and starts taking the fight back to Phoenix, who tries to sneak a quick pin, but is unable to keep Flint down. With move after move being applied, it's looking bad for Phoenix, until he shoves Flint away to give him some room, taking the space he made to unleash a facebuster that causes Flint to start bleeding. Seeing this, it seems Phoenix won't stop, using almost everything he has to fight back, attacking from the top rope, superplexing, swinging neckbreakers, turning the match completely around. He goes to press the attack, only to find Flint dodging out of the way, letting him inflect damage, seeming to be gaining ground. Seeing he need to regroup, Phoenix throws Flint outside, and lets lose a Justice DDT upon him, before taking the fight towards Table-san. He pushing Flint upon her, before rushing back to the ring and making a huge leap from the top rope to smash him through her, leaving Flint down. Phoenix moves back to the ring, and tries to do another jump attack, but he misjudges the distance, and falls flat on his face, laying beside flint in pain. Both men slowly get up as the ref counts, and start their battle again, Flint looking a lot worse for wear as he does so, but doesn't give up. Returning tot he ring, Flint finds himself on the receiving end of another Justice DDT, as Phoenix moves to use his X-factor, but Flint won't let him, escaping the ring to draw Phoenix out, and make his waste it before returning to the ring. Once back inside, the two men continue their battle, almost seeming to counter every move the other makes, before Flint gets Phoenix in a submission, trying to keep him down. Phoenix powers out of it, and moving to pin the downed Flint, who kicks out, showing he's not ready to go down. Phoenix moves back outside, seeming to need to catch his breath as Flint taunts in the ring, seeming to goad him back, before once again resuming the pain, attacking as hard as he can, before putting the lawyer in a submission once again. This time, it looks like Phoenix might give in, seeming to come close to tapping, but his hands find the rope, and Flint is made to let go, the now injured Phoenix returning to fight. The two take turns trying to pin one another, but it's clear neither man wants to lose, kicking out each time before the fight once again moves out of the ring. The men scuffle some more, before Phoenix whips Flint over the steps, but he gets up quick, returning to the ring and taunting Phoenix to follow. Phoenix does so,, dodging an attack, and letting lose his Objection, before moving to pin, only for Flint to kick out, and lets out a finisher of his own, Power Smashing to put Phoenix down., but isn't able to get the three count as Phoenix kicks out. So he does it again, using another Power Smash to inflict damage, but once again Phoenix kicks out, and instantly retaliates with a Justice DDT. Flint rolls out of the ring to avoid the pin, but Phoenix follows as they once again fight outside the ring. As the crowd begins chanting “This Is Awesome!” over and over as they watch this fantastic display, Flint whips Phoenix towards the barricade, attempting to spear, but Phoenix grapples back, delaying him long enough to make both men be forced back into the ring. Phoenix climbs up the ropes, and simply sits atop them, as flint watches, both men seeming to stay still, bot men nearing the end of their rope, both men seeming unwilling to make the first move. Phoenix is the first one to blink, punching Flint from the ropes, before trying to jump Flint, who counter to avoid the dropkick, using the downed Phoenix to give him time to land a third Power Smashing on him. The crowd watches as the move connects, thinking surly this is it, surly no man can get up from that, but Phoenix does, simply not giving up as he kicks out of the pin attempt. Flint then moves to a submission, but Phoenix is able to crawl to the rope, breaking the hold. Flint taunts Phoenix once again, but this time, it's a big mistake, as Phoenix uses the opening to whip Flint into the corner, and let out a dropkick, follows by a swift knee tot he chest, before once again returning to the rope, and doing a final leap attack, hitting home. This attack seems to be finally enough to take Flint down, as Phoenix pins him for three, winning the match as the crowd goes nuts at what that have just seen.
