| Dr. Gero|
I cleared the area of innocents, in accordance with your wishes. Do you disagree with my methods?
In Dragon Ball seriesEdit
Dr. Gero was once the head scientist in the Red Ribbon Army, a terrorist organization bent on world domination. He and his fellow operatives were thwarted by a young Goku and his allies, including one of Gero's creations, Android 8 (who is technically a cyborg). Dr. Gero swore revenge upon Goku for the loss of his research and employers. Many years later he returned as a cyborg himself (mislabeling himself as an "android"), to challenge Goku and the Z Fighters with his new team of deadly cyborg creations, a group of technologically super-powered humans called the Androids. After several battles between Goku and his friends, Gero was eventually betrayed by his creations again, leading to his death at the hands of Androids 17 and 18.
Having discovered Android 18's involvement in VGCW, Dr. Gero confronted Bryn McMahon on 2013-04-12, offering to supply a "small hardware update". McMahon reluctantly agreed to the offer, as long as it was done before her next match. Having nothing to fear from security, Gero cornered 18 and explained that she's been replaced with a more obedient model. He demanded she return with him to his lab, threatening to tell security that she was defective if she resisted. Out of options, 18 submitted, and her replacement filled in for her in the next match. The real purpose of the replacement was to act as a mole for Carmen Sandiego, who offered a large sum of money to Dr. Gero to perform this task. Gero apparently hoped to use the money to build a new Red Ribbon Army, but Android 18 escaped from captivity and put an end to his plans, then returned to WVGCW hoping to stop the impostor.
Presumed dead, Gero took to hiding and working in the shadows (rumor has it he was the one who performed the surgery on Charles Barkley's Knee) as a member of V.I.L.E.C.W, Carmen Sandiego's ruthless criminal organization. He emerged to fight Bryn after Carmen stole the Female Division from then GM Bryn McMahon. The Ex-GM fought hard but the Doctor's advanced robotics and absorption abilities proved too much, leading to Bryn's defeat and subsequent arrest.
It is unknown if Gero is paying any attention to the main division of VGCW, where some of his other enemies are present.
